TODAY AT METRON - 12/28/14

"Great service, love to hear Judah sing.
Especially the songs he sang today!
Good to hear you talk about the afterlife, love hearing about that.
Enjoy your trip and be safe and again Congrats!!!!"

"Judah Benjamin Swilley, was in the midst of all the crowd when last week's shooting at Landmark's Midtown theatre occurred. His hand injured in all the chaos and trampling...today it was very good to see him playing the guitar and leading worship in the same theater, which is also where we all meet from week to week. Peace and blessings to all. Judah's brother, Jonah Elijah, and father Jim Swilley were right there also that night, so,  just glad that they're ok. We all still feel we're in the right place here at the theatre, and it will all be good."

METRON-SPEAK: APOCALYPSE NOW: THE AGE OF AQUARIUS

In honor of yesterday being December 21, the day that was supposed to be the end of things two years ago, I'm re-posting this...

METRON-SPEAK: APOCALYPSE NOW: THE AGE OF AQUARIUS: The word ‘apocalypse’, which is often used as a fear-invoking way of referring to the 'end of times', is actually a Greek word th...

CHRISTMAS PARADIGM SHIFT AND THE OBSERVER EFFECT

“There's always going to be bad stuff out there. But here's the amazing thing -- light trumps darkness, every time. You stick a candle into the dark, but you can't stick the dark into the light.”

― Jodi Picoult

"...and the Light shines in darkness, and the darkness cannot overtake it"...Christmas is all about a revelation...an epiphany...a New Birth...a change of heart...a paradigm shift...a triumph of Light over darkness...

With the revelation of the miracle of Christmas, the Grinch's heart grows three times its normal size...Ebenezer Scrooge rethinks his life, and is euphoric to wake up and find that he hasn't missed Christmas, after all...he ecstatically wishes a Merry Christmas to everyone, and a Happy New Year to the whole world, with no trace of "Bah! Humbug!"...George Bailey realizes that he really does have a wonderful life, and wants to live again...Charlie Brown comes out of his depression about the commercialization of Christmas, and just decides to relax and enjoy it for what it is...

We've discussed here on the blog and at METRON Community the concept in Quantum Physics called "the Observer Effect", the idea that the observer creates reality...

Wayne Dyer says, "If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change"...that's it...ideally, Christmas changes the way we look at things...call it magic or miracle, the truth is that this is the time of year when we open up our hearts to believe that the clunky and clumsy logic of natural law is completely suspended, and suddenly we re-visualize a world of possibilities...a dreamland where anything can happen...not just a place where every mother's child is gonna spy to see if reindeer really know how to fly...not just a dimension in which an angel tries to get his wings by showing you that you've really had a wonderful life...not just a strange world in which ghosts visit you in the night, and cause you to have a completely transformational paradigm shift about life, about money, about relationships, about yourself...but an amazing, timeless world where massive angelic choirs serenade shepherds out in the middle of nowhere, in the dead of night, for no apparent reason...a place where eastern magician-astrologers are led by celestial light to a foreign country just to worship an infant King...a nexus for the visible and invisible realms, where a virgin can somehow conceive, and, inexplicably, the Word is actually made flesh and dwells among us...a real place where He appears and our souls feel their worth...

Yesterday, my FB friend, Francis, posted this comment on the previous blog post, "You are so right! Whatever we want in this human experience we can have it.  As for me and mine...I want to live in heaven on earth. I believe we will wake up one day and hear...You've been here all the time..."

It made me think of the story of Jacob in Genesis 28 when he awakens from his dream of the stairway or ladder into "heaven", and realizes that he is already there...

Jacob woke up from his sleep. He said, “God is in this place—truly. And I didn’t even know it!” He was terrified. He whispered in awe, “Incredible. Wonderful. Holy. This is God’s House. This is the Gate of Heaven.”
(Genesis 28:16, 17 - The Message)

Basically, that's what happens to Ebenezer and George and the Grinch...they realize on Christmas how awesome it all really already is, and what they already have...Christmas causes them to change the way they look at things, and then the things they look at change...

That's what Christmas is all about, Charlie Brown...

"POST ON THESE THINGS"

Far be it from me to suggest to anyone how they should choose to use Social Media...your Twitter/Linkedin/Instagram/etc. account is yours to implement however you see fit, and your FB page is absolutely your place to express yourself however you want to do it...I believe that personal expression rocks, and I'm all about encouraging it...

No doubt, a lot of dissent and argument goes on in cyberspace, on blogs, and especially on Facebook...and it is what it is...I personally am not interested in provoking debate with anyone about anything in person or online at this point in my life, even though I have strong convictions about pretty much everything...I'm sort of in the "agree with your adversary quickly" camp...but I'm basically cool with those who do like that sort of thing...argumentative people tend to stress me out on a personal level, so I avoid them, but I'm definitely against censorship, so I believe that people should be able to say what they want to say, even if I don't really want to hear it...

I have several thousand friends and followers on Social Media, and it's an understatement to say that among them all is quite a wide variety of world-views and ideologies...for example, I have FB friends who are racially diverse, both conservative and liberal, Democrat and Republican, gay and straight, religious and non-religious, fundamentalist Christian and atheist, etc...in a word, I have connections with people who are all over the map politically, theologically and ideologically, and I'm used to that sort of eclectic and ecumenical environment...in fact, I like the freedom of an exchange of ideas, even though I usually prefer finding harmony and agreement over argument and contention...

I used to argue a lot, and I'm pretty good at it, but I already have a platform as a public figure to say all the things that I want to say, and I have had that for some time, so the itch is already scratched for me in that area...I get to regularly express my opinion about things, and I get plenty of attention, so I don't need to compensate with arguing...but I understand that a lot of people don't have the outlet(s) that I have, so I respect their right to mix it up and stir the pot...

And even though I avoid getting into the fray over most subjects, I definitely subscribe to Voltaire's mantra of "I do not agree with what you have to say, but I'll defend to the death your right to say it."...that's what America and free speech is all about, so God bless America!

So whatever you opt to say about Isis or Ebola or Obama or Ferguson or Bill Cosby or gun control or Jesus or the Bible or whatever else people are talking about is fine with me...I'm willing to hear you out to a certain point...for the most part, unless it's a personal attack, nothing that you say, no matter how offensive or disappointing to me, is a deal breaker...and with over 500 people already blocked on my FB page, the personal online attacks on me are pretty much a thing of the past these days...in fact, the overwhelming outpouring of support that Ken and I have received on FB about our announcement a few days ago has really surprised/overwhelmed me, and has healed something in my heart that I didn't even realize needed healing...

That being said, I do want to give a word of advice, for what it's worth, to those who use Social Media to talk/complain/obsess over the negative things in their lives...I understand the need to vent and to be heard...believe me, I've done my fair share of it in the past...but I do want to exhort anyone with whom I have influence to remember that what you energize through your words and intentions only becomes stronger...

Jesus said "To them that have, more will be given"...the vibration on the words that you type and post on the Worldwide Web are just as powerful as the ones that pass through your vocal chords...you not only have what you say, you also have what you post!

Complaining about your financial situation on FB only moves you away from prosperity...and if pity is what you want, you can certainly get it by posting about how bad things are for you, but it won't make them any better, and it won't bring you money...if pity is what you want, then that will be your only reward...

I believe that Virtual Reality is very powerful...the image that you create online paints a picture of who you are, and of who you will become in real life...I think it's perfectly OK to let people know when you need prayer (I've written a previous post about that), or when there's an emergency...I certainly believe in the Power of Agreement, and have used Social Media myself to ask for it for certain things...I also know that when my dad was in the hospital recently, it was much easier to post the status of his condition on FB than to say it over and over again to everyone who was calling to ask how he was doing...

So I believe that using Twitter or FB to ask for agreement or to give updates on someone's medical condition is effective and is also good time management...

But posting the details of your pity party online isn't ever going to make people want to attend it...and if you complain to those who have no ability to help your situation, you only frustrate them and ultimately yourself...

Calling those things which are not as though they are can be done online to your advantage...if you're single and lonely, telling the entire Universe that you are isn't going to bring someone into your life...complaining about your job online only makes your work experience more miserable, and never changes it for the better...talk instead about what you love and already have, and it will bring more of the same to you...

Express your gratitude, and you will attract more things for which to be grateful...

Praise your life, and your life will get better...

Energize and give life to the good stuff, and you will have more of it...

People often ask me if I ever take a bad picture,  and I say to them, "sure I do, I just don't post it on Facebook!"...I only want to present myself in the best possible light...your life is your brand, and you need to talk it up and promote it, regardless of the temptation to talk about what is negative...

Create your image, and make it a good and attractive one...

Blaming God or your parents or your ex or the church or the President or white people or black people or whoever else you think is the reason for your problems only creates more problems!

Love your life and express it online, and life will love you back!

CHRISTMAS MEDITATIONS FROM JOHN

Excerpt from 'John In The Now' and 'The Gospels In The Now', available at amazon.com and www.jimswilleybooks.com

And the eternal Word morphed into flesh – into a manifested incarnation with human attributes and authority in the natural world – so that He could live with and among us human beings. And He did live with us here in our world, limiting Himself to the constraints of the human condition without reservation, but we could still plainly see His eternal, divine glory. It was obvious that He shined with the glorious light of a unique, firstborn son who was miraculously like His Father who had sent Him. The illumination from that glory revealed that He was literally filled with grace and that He overflowed with absolute truth.

CHRISTMAS MEDITATIONS FROM MATTHEW AND LUKE

Excerpts from 'The Bible In The Now' and 'The Gospels In The Now', available at amazon.com and www.jimswilleybooks.com

1. Now when the man Jesus was born as a baby in Bethlehem of Judea during the reign of Herod the king, astrologers from the East came to Jerusalem to inquire about Him. These astrologers, or “Magi” originated from a religious caste among the Persians who were devoted to divination (or the practice of the magic arts) and to the interpretation of dreams. They came from Southern Arabia, where they had long maintained a tradition of Israelite Messianic expectation that had survived in the region since the days of the Queen of Sheba; and this tradition survived alongside their practice of astrology.

2. When they came to Jerusalem, they began to ask around, “Where is He Who has been born King of the Jews? For we have charted His star in the East through our understanding of the zodiac and have come to worship Him.”

3. But when the news about these Arabic magicians got to Herod, it worried him greatly and, in fact, troubled all of Jerusalem with him.

4. So he called together all the people who were experts in the law, and in Messianic prophecy, and asked them where the Messiah was supposed to be born.

5. “In Bethlehem in Judea,” the learned men replied, “for this is what the prophet Micah has written:

6. ‘But you, Bethlehem, in the land of Judah, are not in any way the least among Judah’s rulers: for out of you will come a ruler who will be the Shepherd of my people Israel.’”

7. Then Herod called for a secret meeting with the Magi in an attempt to find out if what they knew from their astrological charts lined up with what the Scriptures had predicted.

8. But these magicians had no knowledge of the prophetic Scriptures, so he said to them, “Go to Bethlehem and make a careful search for the child. As soon as you locate him, report back to me so that I may go and worship Him.”

9. After they conferred with the king, they went on their way and could actually see the star ahead of them. It literally seemed to move, guiding them to Bethlehem until it appeared to stop over the place where the child was.

10. When they saw the star that they had anticipated for so long, they were absolutely overjoyed. Of all the signs and wonders that they had seen and performed, this was different…this was the most spectacular! And this was proof that the heavens really do declare the glory of God, as David had said, and that even those who were not of the seed of Abraham could see it, even without a knowledge of the Scriptures.

11. On entering the house, they saw the child with His mother Mary and instinctively bowed down and worshipped Him. While everyone else in Israel was oblivious, these Persian magicians were the very first to recognize and worship the King! Then they opened their treasures and presented Him with gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh, providing Him and His family with enough wealth to last a lifetime.

Matthew 2:1-11, MATTHEW IN THE NOW)

But the angel spoke immediately and authoritatively, saying to them, "Do not be afraid! I am here to announce good news to you...good news of a great and joyful event, and of new reality! And this good news...this new reality...is for all people everywhere...it is for the entirety of humanity! This very night a Savior has been born in the City of David...a Savior who will perfectly embody the Christ, and will be known as the Lord! If you seek Him you will find Him...and this is what you're to look for: a baby swaddled in a blanket, and lying in a feeding trough for animals!" As soon as the angel made this declaration, the sky above the shepherds' heads lit up, and was filled with a seemingly infinite number of angels who formed a thunderous, mass choir, singing God's praises, and shouting, "GLORY TO GOD IN THE HIGHEST PARTS OF THE HEAVENLY REALM...AND IN THE EARTHLY DIMENSION, PEACE...PEACE TO EVERY SINGLE PERSON ON THE EARTH...AND A REVELATION TO THEM THAT GOD'S WILL TOWARD ALL OF HUMANITY IS ONLY GOOD!"

(Luke 2:10-14, Luke In The Now)
